Walt Nasert

Walt Nasert is the owner of GET A GRIP K-9 Training Academy.

Walt started training animals at an early age.  He was raised on a small farm in Colorado where he began training animals, including training for 4-H.  Walt spent over 15 years studying and training dogs, including animal behavior, home protection, competition, obedience, Police K-9, clicker training, and different types of dog sports.

Walt attended training seminars and was exposed to many great trainers and teachers, such as Karen Pryor, Ken Ramirez, Max Anderson, and Michele Pouliot, to name a few.

Walt is a dedicated dog trainer and works with various owners, dogs and situations.  One of Walt’s main goals is to give owners the skills and tools to train and care for their pets in a positive, humane, and successful way.  More than anything Walt values an open mind and a willingness to work and believes that’s where success lies.

Walt looks forward to help others Get a Grip with their beloved pets so they can find the rich joys and rewards of a well balanced dog!
